IT’S OFFICIAL: ISUZU D-MAX IS VOTED BEST WORKHORSE PICKUP AT THE TRADE VAN DRIVER AWARDS
Apr 26, 2017
Following its public debut at the CV Show, Isuzu D-Max has again won Best Workhorse Pick-Up at the 2017 Trade Van Driver Awards.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the Trade Van Driver Awards judges have recognised D-Max as the best workhorse pickup and commented “A hardworking, gutsy performer, the Isuzu D-Max offers robustness, as well as class, plus incredibly low cost of ownership figures.”
The accolade comes hot on the heels of the new-generation D-Max’s UK launch at the CV Show. D-Max has been extensively overhauled, including a brand new 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine has been fitted, which produces 164 PS and 360Nm of torque. The engine builds upon D-Max’s workhorse character and retains the 3.5 tonne towing capacity and 1 tonne payload whilst providing a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience. Another key benefit is that the new engine meets Euro 6 standards without the need for addition of AdBlue.
William Brown, Operations Director at Isuzu UK, said: “To be recognised in the Trade Van Driver Awards once again is a great honour and is testament to the quality of the new generation-D-Max, our sales strategy and our exceptional UK dealer network.
“It’s fitting that we win this award at such a key time for Isuzu, right after the public debut of the new generation Isuzu D-Max.”
Isuzu D-Max is available in Utility, Eiger, Yukon, Utah and Blade specifications with a range of single, extended and double cab variants available. The range is priced from £15,749 CVOTR for the Utility model up to £27,999 CVOTR for the range-topping Blade model.
The D-Max comes with a five-year / 125,000-mile warranty, and was the first pick-up in the UK to be offered with such a comprehensive peace-of-mind package. Running costs are kept down by 12,000-mile or 24-month service intervals, five years’ recovery and European cover, a three-year paint warranty, and a six-year anti-corrosion warranty.
